Mission
The Center for Asymmetric Warfare conducts research and delivers focused training, field experimentation, exercise and assessment programs in order to increase the capabilities of military and civil authorities at all levels to prevent, defend against, and mitigate the effects of asymmetric threats to national, homeland, and global security, including terrorism and natural or man-made disasters.
Vision
The Center for Asymmetric Warfare increases the safety and security of the United States and its strategic allies through focused training and experimentation, in addition to tactical, operational, and strategic-level exercise and assessment programs. These programs allow organizations to effectively share intelligence and operational information; communicate and coordinate with subordinate, adjacent, and supported organizations; perform deliberate or crisis planning in response to a threat; and successfully execute response and recovery operations through the following activities:- Development of Requirements and Operational Thresholds
- Assessment of Capabilities
- Development of Plans, Processes, Personnel, and Infrastructure
- Training and Education
- Exercise and Evaluation of Capabilities
- Incorporation of Operational Feedback
